Greek Dialectic as "Logic of Illusion" for Kant

It's interesting how Kant describes dialectic in ancient Greek philosophy in CPR:
—Critique of Pure Reason (Pluhar translation) B 86Although the ancients used this name dialectic, as standing for a science or a, in quite different senses, still from their actual use of the name we can safely glean that dialectic was for them nothing other than the logic of illusion. I.e., it was the sophistical art of giving an air of truth to one's ignorance, and indeed even to one's deliberate deceptions; this was done by imitating the method of thoroughness prescribed by logic as such, and by employing the topic of logic to paint over any empty pretense.
