A paragraph from the introduction to Hideki Yukawa's autobiography, The Traveler, with an unexpected reference to Hegel's logic:
Hideki Yukawa (湯川 秀樹) won the Nobel Prize for discovering the meson.
Mitsuo Taketani (武谷 三男) was a physicist and dialectical thinker.
Shoichi Sakata (坂田 昌一) was a subatomic particle phyicist.

The introduction to Yukawa's boo, from which this text is taken, is adapted from a lecture by L.M. Brown given at CERN in 1979.
