Post by JerseyFlight » Sat Oct 10, 2020 9:57 pm

There can be little doubt that the scientific method is what accounts for the advances in nearly every domain of the social sciences. There are two reasons for this, the scientific method is comprised of great simplicity to penetrate into great complexity, and secondly, the scientific method has achieved astounding results in terms of intellectual collaboration. Our task, in terms of dialectics, is to refine the procedure of dialectics, as well as to seek to apply it to, and achieve, substantial forms of collaboration. We must approach this horizon with great openness, meaning, we must be willing to let reality dictate the true utility of dialectic. If the conclusion is negative, then we must have the courage to embrace it. Dialectics must be contrasted with science. Dialectics must be applied to science. Dialectic must be demarcated and expanded. The question before us is one of dialectics in contrast with science. Because dialectics, in terms of Hegelian and Marxist expansions, are new to humans, dialectic has not yet experienced the cultural emphasis or place of status that has been given to science. Because of this we cannot properly evaluate the social value of dialectics. We do not know what such a new age will bring. Will dialectics fail? In contrast to science, is dialectic too mystical, will it fail to produce the collaboration which is necessary to social progress? These questions, and many more, we must be ready and willing to ask.
